rey my almost 3 year-old has recently been complaining about being afraid of the dark at night. we already have 2 night lights plugged in in her room, but she was still nervous about being alone come bedtime. i found the "light my way nightlight" and thought i would give it a try. i'm so glad i did. my daughter absolutely loves it and it's made bedtime a lot easier on all of us.

pros:

-it's the perfect size for little hands- kids can pick it up easily and tote it around like a lantern (great for night time potty trips).

-there is a little button on the bottom of the owl to turn it on and off- push it once it turns on, push it again and it turns off. perfect design for little fingers.

-it's on a timer so it'll turn off after 20 min if you leave it alone- this is a lifesaver for parents who don't want to constantly be replacing batteries.

-it gives off just the right amount of light to see at night without being too bright- it gives off a cool (blue, not yellow) light. i was nervous this might be too bright and keep my daughter up at night, but it's not.

-it comes with a set of batteries included- i know this isn't a big deal, but it's rare to find and i appreciated it.

-adorable design- there are a lot of ugly kid products out there but this one is pretty cute.

-priced right- this is a steal compared to similar products.

cons:

-you have to use a mini screw driver to access the battery compartment- this wasn't a big deal as we were able to find a screwdriver to do the job, but not everyone has one of those handy.

Multiples mama Although my one year old doesn't seem to be afraid of the dark at all, I did register for this nightlight for several reasons. One, it matches the decor. Two, the nightlights we have are all plug in and we have limited outlets in our almost 100 yr old house. Three, as we are expecting two more children, I anticipate needing to be awake at night and don't particularly enjoy the blinding feeling of turning on the room lights at 3 am.

This is very lightweight, so it is easy for my toddler to carry by the handle. Because it is animal shaped, he actually likes it and the small button on the bottom is easy for him to push to turn on the light. I appreciate that the light turns off after so long in case we forget about it or fall asleep, but it's not too short of a period of time. The light that it emits is enough to see what you are doing, but not intrusive. The white opaque plastic makes it more like a glow than a shine. Also, since outlets are at a premium in our house and since we have the tendency to travel from room to room at night, having the nightlight be mobile and battery operated is great!

BBL3 I have purchased two of these as gifts. I am SO glad that I bought one for my Grandson. My D I L used it at night next to the changing table as it emits a low light and would not wake baby. They also used it at night to take in front room with them when they needed to retrieve something or to sit down and nurse. I can not explain how this low but useful light will enhance your life. You can CARRY it with you, and as the child grows THEY can carry with them. These are always sold out and hard to find, so pick them up when you see them. It makes a TERRIFIC shower gift! LOVE IT!

Dainesh This is such a cute little owl. Its compact and light weight and it suits the design in my sons room. My son loves it so much that he falls asleep hugging his little owl. Its perfect for the night readings with little ones.

The light is not too bright. Its sort of has a glow which makes it very intriguing to little kids. It automatically shuts down after around 20 minutes which is a pretty cool feature.

Valley Girl My 2 year old son and 4 year old daughter love their owl lanterns. I love that it turns off after 20 minutes. My daughter is scared of the dark and had been sleeping with the ceiling light on, but now she only needs her owl (and two other nightlights). It's become our go-to birthday present, too. The price is right and it's actually useful.

New Mom Great size, enough light to not have to turn overhead light on. wish that it took AA batteries or came with a recharging option.

Anna It is a cute little light. It has an LED light, which is a little bit on the cold side, it is bright white, while I would like it to be more yellow. And it didn't work out of the box - my husband spent some time taking it apart and cheking all the wires. After the repair, it works.

homeschooler My daughter loves this, easy for her to carry and the light is not to bright.
